My Story...

The Fox At Five is a small business based in the Lancashire countryside. It is from her bright and cheerful studio Elisa doodles with stitches on her sewing machine to create free-motion machine embroidery and raw-edge applique designs.

Inspired by her love of birds, animals, landscapes and buildings her ideas are brought to life using this wonderful sewing technique. Each piece is made individually by Elisa using both new and vintage fabric sourced on her travels and reflect a lifelong passion for textiles, design, sewing and making.
Elisa has been sewing for almost 20 years and creating free-motion designs for almost 10 of those. She has sold her creations in a number of places for almost 10 years - online, in shops and at local artisan fairs.  She loves meeting people who love her creations and having a lovely chat.

From her little studio (that's what she calls it on a 'posh' day, on all other days it's her little box room which she's very lucky to occupy), Elisa creates sewn items using her lovely sewing machine, affectionately christened "Saffie". She is a lovely Bernina 1008 who Elisa loves ALMOST as much as her children - shhhh!! Don't tell them ;) - A treasured present from her lovely Grandma, Saffie and Elisa have been friends for many years, they've had some lovely adventures and she knows all Elisa's secrets!

In addition to her sewing which has been a constant, Elisa has 'dabbled' with many 'crafts' over the years and also loves working with clay, a little bit of needle felting and decoupage, so you may find some of these in her shop from time to time.

By supporting 'The Fox At Five' you really are making a small business dream come true whilst supporting a small UK family in these hard times.
